10:30 Beginning Line Dance with Joyce and 11:15 Intermediate Line Dance. Free for Elk members, $5 for guests of members.
11 – 2 PM Lunch is served in the Lounge
1:00 PM LOE meeting. Join them for lunch followed by meeting.
6:00 PM KARAOKE – come and have a fun evening. Sing or just listen. Visit with all your new and old friends.
7:15 PM – Argentine Tango Lessons with Joe Cope. Class 7:15- 8:15PM. Open dance 8:15 – 10:30PM. Free for Elk members and $5 donation to charity for non members. Contact Joe if you need more information firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thursday, October 9th – Lunch is served from 11 – 2 PM in Lounge.
11 AM – Fly Tiers meet to give instructions on fly tying. Everyone welcome. Right now we have about 20 attending. They meet weekly.
6:00 PM – BINGO, we open doors at 4:30 PM but play starts at 6 PM. Come and join in the fun – bring your friends and neighbors as we are open to the public this evening. We have food and drinks available.
As I say every week, we always need volunteers for Bingo. If you can help once a month or more, contact Gary Lisignoli or Linda Farrell at Bingo or leave your name and number with the Lodge Secretary at 541-389-7438.
Friday, October 10th – we open for lunch in the Lounge from 11 – 2 PM.
6-7 PM – Dance lessons on Waltz by Sean Meehan. This is beginning Waltz, class is free and no partner necessary. He will go over what he taught last week and add more information to it this week. Bring your camera if you want to video the review at the end of the class.
6 – 8 PM – Dinner special this week is stuffed Pork Roast, veg. mashed potatoes and gravy. $10.50. We will also have our regular menu available. Be sure to mark on your menu if you want your dinner served during the class or after the class. If you are ordering as a couple, put both orders on the same slip so orders will come out at the same time.
7 – 10 PM Dance to the music of Pat by Livin’ Good. If you want something special played ask Pat and he will always try to accommodate you. He has a tip jar up on the stage that goes to him.
Saturday, October 11th. Lounge opens at 2 PM.
6:00 PM we have dinner of steak, fries and salad.
7:00 PM Poker – Texas Hold’EM Tournament. Come and join in the fun. Sign-in at 6:30PM and play starts at 7 PM.
Monday, October 13th – Lounge opens at 2 pm.

5:00 – Cocktails w/Kathleen – she said she needs company on Monday.
6:00 Cribbage players – come in and join in the fun – they always welcome new players.
Tuesday, October 14th – Lounge opens at 2 PM.
Dinner 6 PM – will be prepared by the Ladies of the Elks. They are cooking chicken enchilada dinner – it is really good.

Elks National Foundation Month – If we meet our per capita donation goal of $4.60 per member we will be eligible to apply for several grants. This month consider making a donation to ENF. We are having a special fundraiser on Saturday, October 25th. or send your check to the Lodge Secretary, made out to Elks National Foundation, c/o Bend Elks Lodge #1371, 63120 Boyd Acres Road, Bend, Oregon 97701. Any amount would be very welcome.

OKTOBERFEST – Saturday, October 25, 2014 -Bend Lodge Past Exalted Rulers Proudly Presents their First Annual OKTOBERFEST. Southeast District Deputy, Rick Wright’s Official Visitation’ Fundraising event for Elks National Foundation; and Flag Pole for City of Redmond.
Renown German Chef, AXEL HOCK, founder of Bend Restaurants – The Black Forest and Le Bistro will be preparing all items for us. The menu offerings are:
Schweineschnitzel – Sweek Sour Red Cabbage – Apfel Stgrudel – w/Hot Vanilla Sauce – Bavarian Spaetzel (small sautéed Dumplings) -mixed green salad and Roll. (Also featuring Oktoberfest Spaten Beer at a special beer.)
Only $16.75 Per Person – Diner Served From 6 – 9 PM.
Dinner is Open to Elk Members and Their Guests. (if you have a party of 8 or more please let us know when you make your reservations and we will reserve a table for you and your guests)
All proceeds go to “Elks National Foundation”; and to “Erect a 24-7 Flag Pole in Redmond”.

Friday – October 31st – HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY. No dance class but Denny MacRae will be playing music for us from 7 – 10 PM. More details on contests and events to follow next week.
